Rabud Adds Second Generation (Gen 2) Twist-N-Lock Deck Plates To Their Lineup

Dania Beach, Florida (October 5, 2021) – Rabud, a marine and recreational vehicle accessory manufacturer in Dania Beach, Florida has completed the design of their new Twist-N-Lock Deck Plates which will be available in both smooth and textured finishes. Both finishes boast increased water tightness over the previous generation and the covers will now hide the mounting fasteners. The smooth finish deck plates are made of top-of-the-line Lexan Polycarbonate with a U.V. inhibitor. The textured deck plates are made of “no-break” polypropylene with a U.V. inhibitor. Both finishes will be available in 4”, 6”, 8” and 10” sizes in the stock colors of Arctic White, White, Grey and Black. Custom color runs are available for manufacturers looking to color match. The 4” and 8” are currently in stock and ready for distribution.

Rabud was created by a noted boat manufacturer in 1976 out of a need to replace rectangular wooden deck hatches that not only cracked and warped, but also provided no form of watertightness. The first hatch in their production was the 10x20 rectangular deck hatch. They then added the 7x11 for smaller access purposes. Round deck hatches became the next addition to their product line. A need for dryer access hatches led to the innovation of their unique Twist-n-lockdeck hatches with cam action. Once again, the boat manufacturer’s need for better, faster deck drainage resulted in their SeaScuppers.

Rabud’s production capacity exceeds worldwide demand and inventory has always been available for immediate shipment with one day turn-around, a service unique to most industries. Custom colors are available to boat manufacturers creating harmonious decks. Today, the engineering and design of their products are state of the art and are closely aligned with most boat manufacturing needs. They are currently in the process of redesigning their Twist-n-lock deck plates and rectangular deck hatches.
